Abilities: While skilled with firearms of several kinds, he's more accurate with a rifle than a handgun. He's quick-thinking and adaptive in tense situations, and knows his way around a fight. He can track, knows how to spy on people, but also is skilled in diplomacy and negotiation. Those things and his skills of observation make him a good talent scout. He's good at picking skills up quickly and is something of a jack of all trades: passable at many things but not amazing any of them.

Strengths:
  • Loyal and Protective; Once Aaron has joined a cause, he is fully dedicated to seeing it through to fruition, regardless of obstacles in the path of completion. He is stalwartly dedicated to his promises and he can always be counted upon to fulfill the role he's been given in any task. His deep belief in the integrity of mankind and their capability to withstand seemingly impossible odds drives him, knowing that while we are all capable of deep atrocity, we are also just as capable of good.

  • Selfless; Going hand in hand with his protective nature, Aaron will be the first to run off into danger if it means protecting home and family. When fighting is necessary, he never hesitates to take the front line, knowing that his capabilities are useful to others and he can keep them safe that way. Aaron's sense of self-fulfillment stems from a community and the unification of people to realize their potential, to bring about a better future through hard work and dedication, preferring a hands-on approach and shy's away from any sort of recognition, happy to know they were successful have no concern for who was responsible for that success.

  • Altruistic; Aaron has a deep-seated belief in the human condition, that while they are capable of the most horrific atrocities he's ever witnessed (and he survived the zombie apocalypse) they are also capable of the greatest good and deepest solidarity, that no one can make it on their own, and that when they come together even the most impossible of obstacles can be overcome. His firm belief that, together, they can persevere and usher in a new future is a driving force in all his decisions.

  • Weaknesses:
  • Lack of concern for personal welfare; While Aaron will never be one to shy away from helping others, his desire to see others thrive or to assure the safety of home and family, supersedes any thought he may have as to his own well-being. If those he cares for are in danger (and it doesn't take much to be added to this list) he will never hesitate to rush off into whatever terrible predicament they are facing in order to stand with them or to protect them. Yes, that does include rushing off into a herd of zombies in the black of night with his hands tied because he saw a signal flare.

  • Deep sense of responsibility; Aaron takes any task set before him seriously, and he's dogmatically dedicated to seeing to it to completion. He feels personally responsible for most things, particularly if he's even remotely tied to an outcome, such as losing images of the safe-zone while fleeing for his live and a group of bloodthirsty raiders finding those pictures and using them to find Alexandria and invade. He bears each of the resulting deaths as a personal failure, and he takes responsibility for those mistakes, taking it upon himself to join Rick and the others in keeping Alexandria safe at any cost.

  • Marginalization; While he cares very deeply about his community and his friends, Aaron tends to keep most people at arm's length. Being openly gay since his teenage years, he's been subjected to conversion therapy, ridicule from various facets of society, and even 'hilariously offensive' statements from the 'otherwise well-meaning men and women' of Alexandria. It's led to his choosing to remain apart from the sociatal structure of the community, he and Eric tending to keep to themselves, and rarely opening up to anyone who isn't exceptionally close to him.

  • Nightmares:
Walkers; The reanimated corpses of the dead, they shamble and mill about, or just remain still, unless alerted to the presence of fresh meat by sound or bright light. The fresh ones tend to be more agile than the older ones, as they are dead and constantly decay. They feel no pain and can only be stopped by destroying the brain. If one is decapitated, the mouth will still try to bite anything edible that comes within reach. They tend to form herds as they wander, and while one or two can be defeated easily with a sharp knife to the eye socket or the temple (or, you know, shooting them), the more there are, the more overwhelming they would be. Even if you set them on fire, if the brain isn't destroyed, you've just got a burning walker to deal with. Fun times.
